Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of eidetic.cards and any products you purchase from us. By using our website or buying a deck, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site or make a purchase.

We've written these in plain language because we believe you should actually understand what you're agreeing to.

Eidetic sells digital flashcard decks in .apkg format, designed to work with Anki. Each deck contains structured vocabulary, audio pronunciations, example sentences, and supporting content for language learning.

Our decks are compatible with the Anki application. Anki is a trademark of Ankitects Pty Ltd. Eidetic is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Ankitects Pty Ltd.

When you purchase a deck, you receive a personal, non-transferable license to use it for your own learning. This means:

• You can use the deck on any device you own
• You can modify cards for your personal study (add notes, suspend cards, reorganize)
• You can back up the file for your own use

This license does not include:

• Sharing the deck with others (friends, classmates, online communities)
• Uploading the deck to any public or shared repository, including AnkiWeb shared decks
• Redistributing, reselling, or repackaging the content in any form
• Using the content to create a competing product

One purchase = one person. If a colleague or friend wants the deck, they can download the free sample and decide for themselves.

All payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as our Merchant of Record. When you make a purchase, your transaction is handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy, including payment processing, applicable taxes, and receipts.

Prices are listed in USD. Applicable taxes (VAT, sales tax, GST) are calculated and collected by Lemon Squeezy based on your location. The final price including tax is shown before you confirm your purchase.

Because our products are digital files delivered instantly on purchase, we do not offer refunds once a deck has been downloaded. A downloaded file can't be "returned."

That's exactly why every deck has a free sample of 100 to 150 cards available on AnkiWeb. We encourage you to download the sample, study with it for a few days, and make sure the deck is right for you before purchasing. No account or payment required.

If you experience a genuine technical issue (corrupted file, missing audio, download failure), contact us at support@eidetic.cards and we will resolve it.

When you buy a deck, you receive free updates for the commercial life of that product. This includes content corrections, new cards, improved audio, and general improvements. When an update is available, we'll notify you by email with a download link.

"Lifetime" means the lifetime of the product, not a guarantee of indefinite support. It covers the ongoing development and maintenance of the specific deck you purchased. It does not include entirely new products, complete replacements, or successor products that may be released separately.

Our medical language decks (Medical Arabic, Medical Spanish, Medical German FSP, Medical French) are educational tools designed to help you learn medical terminology in a foreign language.

They are not medical advice. They are not a substitute for clinical training, professional medical education, or certification programs. They should not be used for clinical decision-making, patient care, or diagnosis.

If you are preparing for a medical licensing exam (such as the FSP), these decks support your language preparation. They do not replace the clinical knowledge required to pass such exams.

All content in our decks -- vocabulary selections, example sentences, audio recordings, card designs, and organizational structure -- is original work created by Eidetic. This content is protected by copyright.

The Eidetic name, logo, and brand identity are our intellectual property. You may not use them without our written permission.

If you contact us, submit a bug report, or request a feature, any content you send us (such as error reports or language suggestions) may be used to improve our products. We won't share your personal information publicly.

You agree to use eidetic.cards for its intended purpose. Don't attempt to interfere with the site's operation, access areas you shouldn't, or use automated tools to scrape content. Standard "don't be destructive" rules apply.

Eidetic provides flashcard decks for language learning. We do our best to ensure accuracy, but language is complex and we can't guarantee that every card is error-free. If you find an error, report it and we'll fix it in the next update.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Eidetic is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products or website. Our total liability for any claim related to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that product.

We may update these terms occasionally. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. For significant changes, we'll make reasonable efforts to notify active customers by email. Continued use of the site or products after changes constitutes acceptance.

Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our products will be resolved in accordance with the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where the dispute is brought, to the extent permitted by those laws. We encourage you to contact us first at support@eidetic.cards -- most issues can be resolved directly.
