Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect when you visit eidetic.cards or purchase our products, how we use it, and what rights you have.

The short version: we collect basic analytics to understand how people use our site. We don't sell your data. We don't track you across the web. We use your email only to send you what you asked for.

When you visit the website:

• Page views and interactions -- we use analytics tools to understand which pages are useful and where people drop off.
• Basic device information -- browser type, operating system, screen size, approximate location (country/city level, not precise). Standard web analytics data.

When you sign up for notifications:

• Email address -- if you use the "Notify Me" feature or subscribe to updates, we collect your email address. We use it only to send you the notifications you requested.

When you make a purchase:

• Payment and billing information -- collected and processed entirely by Lemon Squeezy, our payment processor. We do not see or store your credit card number, billing address, or other payment details. Lemon Squeezy handles all payment processing, tax calculation, and receipts as our Merchant of Record.
• Email address -- provided during checkout for order confirmation and product delivery.

What we don't collect:

• We don't require you to create an account
• We don't track your study habits or Anki usage
• We don't collect data from the flashcard decks themselves

We use the data we collect for these purposes only:

• Analytics -- understanding how visitors use the site so we can improve it. Which pages get traffic, where people leave, what features get clicks.
• Product delivery -- sending you the deck you purchased and any future updates.
• Communication -- sending notifications you signed up for (new deck launches, updates to decks you bought). You can unsubscribe at any time.
• Site performance -- monitoring load times and fixing technical issues.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their marketing purposes. Period.

We use first-party and third-party cookies for anonymous site analytics. These help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it.

If you prefer not to be tracked, you can use your browser's "Do Not Track" setting or install an ad blocker. The site works perfectly fine without analytics cookies.

We use third-party services to operate eidetic.cards, including analytics providers, a hosting platform, and a payment processor (Lemon Squeezy). Each of these services has their own privacy policy governing how they handle data. These services are based in the United States.

• Analytics data -- retained for 12 months, then automatically deleted.
• Email addresses (notifications) -- retained until you unsubscribe. Once you unsubscribe, your email is removed from our mailing list.
• Purchase records -- retained by Lemon Squeezy as required for tax and legal compliance. We retain your email for product update delivery as long as the product is actively maintained.

Regardless of where you live, we believe you should have control over your data. If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or another jurisdiction with data protection laws, you have specific legal rights including:

• Access -- request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Rectification -- ask us to correct inaccurate data
• Erasure -- ask us to delete your data
• Restriction -- ask us to limit how we use your data
• Portability -- request your data in a standard format
• Objection -- object to our processing of your data

Eidetic is not directed at children under 16. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we'll delete it.

We may update this policy as our practices evolve. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. For material changes, we'll make reasonable efforts to notify you through the site or by email.
